Once I went to a very small concert and felt creeped out by one random old guy in attendance. I mean, there were young girls in small clothes and then this guy in a mock turtle neck with tinted glasses. Made me think to myself - how gross, an old promoter who hasn't figured out to act his age.

I later realized it was Bob Boilen of NPR's All Songs Considered. He was legit and it was then I realized that I am a dick.

vegetarian but not healthy

I made Sweet Potato Pot Pie for the first time last night. It was pretty good but I added extra things to it that made it less healthy.

I added sugar, cilantro, ground pepper, and threw in 1 chopped carrot after all the other veggies were cooked for texture. I also used fat free milk instead of what was called for in the recipe. Then after serving I topped it off with mozzarella and a large dollop of sour cream. The puff pastry was the frozen Pepperidge Farm Shells.

Thanks to Dona, I am now a HUGE fan of Jonathan Lethem's short stories. Gypsies and Crazyheads

Monique Prudhomme is a great costume designer. She was brought to my attention by Terry Gilliam's "The Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus" but she has a crazy range of projects under her belt including Juno, It, and Bird on a Wire - Goldie Hawn wears some crazy stuff in that flick. Dr.Parnassus is a great film by the way.
