Sometimes weekends are so packed it seems like they are over in the blink of an eye!

Friday night interviewed for a job and then passed out with my boo.

Saturday went to a demolition derby ate the most delicious pit beef, got the most awesome shirt and then attended a farewell karaoke and dance off jam for Frannie.

Sunday hung out with mom, and Dona's family, mom got me a bunch of clothes for no reason but to be nice and then I made knock off frosties and went to potluck dinner.

The fake frosties were really easy and turned out pretty delicious. It only took 3 ingredients.

I also had a really crazy dream last night. Maybe thats why I feel so tired.

Kid dreams

Once upon a time I really thought I could be a cinematographer but as I got older I decided that battle wasn't for me.  Roger Deakins, Conrad L. Hall, Ron Fricke, and John Seale are all names that I look for more so than actors and actresses. The next best thing would have been to become a storyboard artist but what I love about building a shot is capturing motion.

Here is a great post about female cinematographers. Its kind of a bummer.

Fun Filled & Packed Weekend

Wow this weekend was packed and so fun! Its awesome having four day weekends. Not having a full time job has his drawbacks but also many perks. I should enjoy them while they last.

Thursday: Met up with Jesse to just catch up and say hi, went to Jiffy Lube for the first time - service was excellent, hung out with Mom at the shop and had a delicious take-out dinner with Dona and the boys.

Friday: Had breakfast with Mom, Dona and the boys, spent the morning with the kids, did a little j.o.b. hunting in the afternoon, did all my laundry, had dinner with the boo, dropped my car off at the shop for new break pads, met up with boo's friends.

Saturday: Woke-up with boo, laundered his comforters, picked up my car, browsed Costco where we ate lunch and samples, Boo made Guacamole for a dinner party, ate delicious take out with both my sisters, attended the Grimes concert (which was awesome).

Sunday: Woke-up at Mom's prepped a feast for Chu-suk, ate the feast with my entire family, played with Simey, watched Looper with Bro-in-Law and Boo, took boo on a fun walk in the woods, watched Korean soaps with Mom as a storm passed through. Paid rent, bought groceries and came home to relax and go to bed.

Today I had a lunch meeting in the city, instead of heading straight home to job hunt I was bad and snuck off to The Hirshhorn where I got to see the Dark Matters show. The piece by Troy Brantuch, the red image below, really stuck with me. He does some amazing things with cotton and chalk, wonderful skills that I envy and admire.

Ever cooked on a camp fire before? I have a romantic idea that its awesome but common sense leads me to believe... not so much.

Recession Film

Every recession a handful of films come out and join the history of cinema. They are filled with awesome actors and actresses but are really absolutely god awful. Usually written and directed by the same person with a script and premise that would never have been released unless people in Hollywood were hard up for money...



I love Sam Rockwell and Christopher Walken. Toss in Gabourey Sidbe, Woody Harrelson and Tom Waits. Don't get me wrong I will definitely watch this. Maybe it will surprise me... but isn't that what everyone thinks about recession films?

Hey All,

Sorry for the major lack of updates lately. I've been crazy busy the past couple weeks. Here are some highlights.

New Apartment.
New Boyfriend.
Obsessed with Pinterest (yes, I got sucked in! Crap!)
A little car TLC
Flu that morphed into a sinus infection.

And then the usual working two jobs, running online shops and working on the installation project.

Will try and get back to posting regularly soon.
