FML - diagrams like these give me instant heartburn.

"Servos are powered off of the same regulated 5V that the Arduino uses. This is OK for the small hobby servos suggested. If you want something beefier, cut the trace going to + on the servo connectors and wire up your own 5-6V supply!" -ladyada.net

...ever so slowly but surely... right?

Holy smokes! I'm so glad we've moved away from the idea of knitting rope. All of the sudden its become a super fad AND it looks hard as hell!

5.8

Apparently a 5.8 mag earthquake struck my area today and I didn't even feel it. The aftermath? A bunch of random stuff fell into my toilet causing me to dig really deep down the toilet drain with my hand to pull out random bits of things... but not poop. Thankfully not poop.

is this how?

how one roofies fate.

Mugatu realized in Balenciaga

Balenciaga's fall line up has some nice pieces but also some REALLY not so nice pieces. For example, the dog sweater below costs $925 ~OR~ can be found for free in your dog loving, spinster aunt's closet alongside her sexuality.

Some of the looks are pretty much right out of Middle America's thrift stores. Maybe he isn't aware, the man is from Spain after all.

Napoleon Dynamite called, he says he wants his sweaters back.

pearls

“It takes a long time to recalibrate if you let people pull at you all the time. A lot of stress comes from reacting to stuff. You have to keep a certain guard [on your availability] if you're a creative person. You need space to try things and create.” - Pete Cashmore founder of Mashable

Marry me Pete Cashmore - you seem like a douche and a narcissist but whatever.

defiled the defiler?

Hmmm some heated stuff over Shepard Fairey's project in Coppenhagen.

Check out his posts about this mis-understanding - be sure to pull out your magnifying glass.

talking about looking

I find it extremely difficult to speak about art and am interested in reading writings and interviews written or given by artists. Any recommendations?

Came across this interview with Steve Kim- Korean-American painter

"Drawing is different though because you can do it by yourself, without anyone looking over your shoulder, without having to perform and be the thing, itself, gathering attention. There’s a distance in time and space between you and your art. With music the art and the maker is fused. Not that making art is easy. Even though I draw and paint now. And have my BFA, MFA and look like I know what I’m doing. It’s all happened through small spurts of activity. I’ve had long stretches of inactivity and procrastination and doing-nothingness. I’m just now coming to terms with it."

ladies ladies laydeeeees!

Remember the show Sisters?

It was a series that aired on Saturday nights the hour before X-files when nothing better was on TV and a time before any of my older sisters could drive or were interested in going out. Mom, sisters and I tuned in faithfully every week to make fun of Swoosie Kurts when she got slapped every episode.

It was an evening of sister/mom time at the tender ages of 10, 12, & 13 and it is as weird recalling it now as it was back then.

Synopsis:
"The men in your life may leave you, children grow up, parents pass away... The only ones who are there for you, from cradle to grave, are your sisters. Show follows the lives of the 4 Reed sisters. Alex, the oldest, is a wealthy, snobish wife of a plastic surgeron; Teddy, is a free-spirited artist; Georgie, is a typical suburban housewife and Frankie is an overacheiving businesswoman."
