queasy

UGGGHHHHGGhhhh first workout after a month of sedentary living and holiday gorging. I feel gross.

I'm really flirting with the edge of being "overweight" according to this thing: THE DEPRESSION MAKER

Too bad I bought one of these today... but not really. I'm pretty psyched about it.

don't

As an asian female I feel the need to advise other asian women to avoid excessive amounts of under eye make-up or you'll look like a fool or a hooker. Here are two examples:

not good for nothing

Hmmm so I'm digging this jewelry by House of Harlow... which I find discomforting since its Nicole Ritchie's jewelry line. Whats next - Paris Hilton Perfume? Its a slippery slope.

indifference

"From the tail end of winter I would go nightwalking... I'd strike off into the black trackless forrest blinded. Offer my body to whatever harm this place might wish to do me. Try to see surviving night not as suicide averted or botched but as proof I could rest easy against the malignity or indifference of the universe and refuse to fear the world I occupied."

- Thirteen Moons

Happy Thanksgiving.

talented kid

Youth Lagoon put on a great intimate show of the best kind last night, I was glad to be in the audience. Trevor Powers is a hard working kid - much respect.

Super Duchamp Bros.

Ever heard of Jacques Villon? Neither had I till this past weekend on a visit to the VA Museum of Fine Arts. Located next to a Pigeon painting by Picasso are two of his very Duchamp-y storyboard type paintings. Turns out he is the brother of Marcel Duchamp and a freaking cool artist.

Marcel, Jacques in the middle and their awesome sculptor brother Raymond Duchamp-Villon on the far right.

THE EIGHTH DAY

"The 8th day manages to combine so many contrasting concepts, a child wanderer who is also a man with a mission, an authentic world that is also a completely manufactured reality, an attention to detail which is coupled with a complete lack of specifics, of where, when, how and why."

Not in Kansas

These are amazing. Check out all 25 Abandoned Monuments.

"They were designed by different sculptors (Dušan Džamonja, Vojin Bakić, Miodrag Živković, Jordan and Iskra Grabul, to name a few) and architects (Bogdan Bogdanović, Gradimir Medaković...), conveying powerful visual impact to show the confidence and strength of the Socialist Republic."
